Simply cut or tear a piece from the block and hook lightly- ensuring most of the hook is exposed. The tough outer skin can be picked away if required to produce an irregular ragged-look bait that can be soaked in a flavour of the anglers choice.

Use imitation baits over a light scattering of the real thing. Top up your swim every few hours with a catapult of real casters to attract the carp into your swim. Once there the carp will start mopping up everything in sight - including your imitation hookbait!

Buoyant imitation maize- soft enough to use on the hook or hair rig that is resistant to the attentions of nuisance species including Crayfish.
Popup maize is best fished on a hair rig over a bed of real maize or corn.
It can be used popped up on it's own or in conjunction with real maize- to produce a critically balanced hook bait. As a guide: 1 grain will pop up a size 8 Carp hook.
