The Drennen DRX Ultra light float rods are produced in a super high modulus carbon and are fitted with full SIC guides. They are available in 13' and 14' and 15' versions with a light- fast tip action. The Specialist Feeder 11ft is a versatile rod designed for close and medium range work on both rivers and stillwaters. Slim, lightweight and with a crisp action, the Specialist Feeder has power in the butt for added casting performance and fish-playing control, whilst the carbon tips and top section blend together seamlessly to produce a soft tip action.
Whilst this model is primarily designed for close work with bombs and light feeders, it still has plenty of power when hook a big, strong fish, making it perfect for tench, bream and medium sized carp as well as chub and barbel. The Specialist Float 13ft is featherweight in the hand and has a lovely crisp feel whilst casting, yet retains tremendous striking power. The overall action is super smooth, with our unique Anti-Lock helping you to land more fish.
The Specialist Float 13ft is great for the finesse required for smaller silver fish using fine hooklengths and small hooks, but there’s also an underlying power lurking within its pleasing profile which will easily tame bigger fish.
This rod has the all-round ability to land big fish on light line too. During field testing in competition Dave Coster landed three double figure carp - using a 0.12mm (3lb) trace and a medium wire size 18 hook.
